EAA Chapter 234

Traverse City, MI

Welcome to our Chapter

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

EAA Chapter 234 was formed by a small group at Acme Skyport in 1965 with the primary interest in promoting aviation safety, education and fellowship.

There is a mix of activities by the Chapter. Usually a breakfast fly-in is hosted at Torchport Airport. The Chapter has also hosted Young Eagle events at NMC Aviation Department ramp. Of course, there is the annual Christmas party with all the coveted awards.

Bob Witkop has formed a notorious group of Saturday morning flyers that post a regular year round schedule of places to meet for breakfast. Appropriately named Bob’s Breakfast Bunch.

Meetings are normally held the second Thursday of each month @ 7PM either at the NMC Aviation building on Aeropark Drive or Giving Wings Hangar on Airport Access.

The Chapter always welcomes visitors at our meeting and social activities and hope they will consider joining our Chapter.

For more information on our chapter, please contact our president via the contact information provided in the sidebar or if you would like to join the chapter, please fill out the membership application at:
